The following information applies to voting in Hillsborough County, Florida.  If you need information on voting in other parts of the USA, please visit vote411.org

2022 General Election Important Dates

October 11 – Deadline to Register to Vote
October 29 – Deadline to Request Vote By Mail
October 24 – November 6 – Early Voting! Polls are open 7 AM to 7 PM.
November 8 – Election Day! Polls are open 7 AM to 7 PM.

1. Vote By Mail

Take your time filling out your ballot from the comfort of your home when it is convenient for you. Completed ballots must be received by 7 PM on Election Day, November 8.


You have options when returning your ballot.  You can mail it back using the pre-paid envelope or drop it off at approved locations.


You can still vote in person as long as your completed Vote By Mail ballot has not been received.

2. Early Voting

Pick a day, time, and location that works for you!  You can vote any day in the two-week period of October 24 – November 6 between 7 AM and 7 PM at any of the 26 Early Voting locations in Hillsborough.  Wait times are usually short!

3. Election Day

You must vote on November 8 in your precinct between 7 AM and 7 PM.  If you are in line at 7 PM, you will be allowed to vote. Wait times can be long during peak times like before work, lunchtime, and after work.
